Short Biography of Sculpturer Denkha Zomaya

 

·        Denkha Zomaya Sahda – Al Hasaka – Tel Tamer 1960.

·        License in the Fine Arts – Damascus.

·        High Studies Diploma in the Fine Arts – Damascus.

·        Professor in the Institute for preparations of teachers at Al Hasaka City.

·        Lecturer at the Education College – Al Furat University at Al Hasaka City.

·        Member in the Fine Arts Association – Syria.

·        Private internal exhibitions in Syria: Damascus – Aleppo – Al Hasaka – Al Swaydaa – Al Qamishli – Tel Tamer – Al Malekiya.

·        Private External exhibitions outside Syria: Canada – Sweden – Lebanon – Persia – Bulgaria.

·        Over 20 solo exhibitions and some joint exhibitions.

·        Had been honored inside & outside Syria:

o       Taha Taha museum at Al Raqqa 1999.

o       Montréal – Canada 2002

o       Al Hasaka 2007

o       Al Qamishli 2007

·        His sculptural works are done by using different materials: stone – wood – bronze – polyester – direct metal modeling – and other different materials.

·        The works are acquired inside & outside.

·        Won many prizes for making big size statues in Syria.

·        Participated in the 1^st Marmarita festival.

·        Participated in the 3^rd Sadad festival.

·        Participated in the International Symposium of Bulgaria 2007.
